A logo that works everywhere you do.

Logo design for Indianapolis small businesses, often alongside a new website. A clear process, every file you’ll need, and a logo you fully own.

02

A logo should be the easy part. Often it isn’t.

  • Many owners have a logo that looks fuzzy on the website, can’t be read on a truck or a shirt, or only exists as one low-quality JPG from years ago. Every new sign or flyer turns into a hunt for the right file.
  • Missing or low-quality files
  • Unreadable at small sizes
  • Doesn’t match the website

What makes a small business logo work

A good logo is simple enough to recognize at a glance and clear enough to read at any size. It has to look right as a tiny icon in a browser tab, on a business card, on a yard sign and on the side of a van. That’s why we test it small, in one color and on dark and light backgrounds before calling it done. Clever details that vanish at small sizes don’t make the cut.

Color and type do a lot of the work. Colors set a mood and help you stand apart from competitors in your field. The typeface should match your business’s personality and stay readable in print and on a phone screen. Some businesses suit a wordmark, just the name set in a strong typeface. Others need a symbol or a combination of both. We talk through which fits you, and our guide to small business brand identity covers how the pieces fit together.

We often design logos alongside a new website, and that’s when it pays off most. The logo’s colors and type carry through to the buttons, headings and layout, so the whole site feels like one business. Your favicon shows in browser tabs and some search results, and a consistent logo on your website and Google Business Profile helps customers recognize you on Google and Google Maps. If you’re rebranding, see our notes on a rebrand and website redesign.

Your logo is yours. You get the final files and full ownership, so you can print it, stitch it or hand it to a sign shop without asking us. Our logo file formats guide explains which file to use where. We’re a small local team in downtown Indianapolis, here since 2009, and we reply within 24 hours. Pricing comes as a clear written quote after a free review, so you know the cost before work starts.

Logo design questions

Do you design logos for small businesses?

Yes. We design logos for Indianapolis small businesses, either on their own or alongside a new website. Many owners like doing both together, so the logo and site are planned as one.

What do I get at the end of a logo project?

Your final logo as vector files, PNG and SVG, a favicon for your website, and one-color versions for things like stamps, embroidery and vinyl. You get files that work for print, signs and screens.

Who owns the logo?

You do. Once the project is done, the logo and all its files are yours to use anywhere, with any printer or sign shop. You never need our permission to use your own logo.

Can you update my existing logo instead of starting over?

Often, yes. If customers in Indianapolis already know your logo, a cleanup can keep that recognition while fixing problems like poor readability or missing files. We’ll tell you honestly which makes more sense after the free review.
